"We booked this hotel under the pretense that the resturant was open for business and the taxi price rate was similar to the rest of Ecuador or the reviews in our travel book. Hotel served a nice breakfast BUT no other food is available so one must go into Puerto Ayora for lunch and dinner. The taxi rate to and from hotel into town can be anywhere from $10-$15 each way..... if u want to freshen up after a long tour that will be 4 taxi rides......$40-$60 per day. Lawrence offered us a ride...

"The Tortuga bay suite is right by the street so you hear the street noise until about 10:30pm on workdays and about 11:30pm on a Friday. The air conditioner doesn’t work well. "We loved our stay there, near many attractions that you can easily walk to or take the taxi for ~$2 dollars to the Darwin Research Station/Pier or more if further away, staff were friendly & accommodating. Breakfasts was delicious & our rooms were newly renovated (you can ask if are available). We love that they have a pool, hot tub, ping pong table, spa, water dispensers, outdoor tables for gathering/reading/dining & ice available upon requests. Unforgettable journeys & escape home in Galapagos!! We definitely recommend & would love to return if extra blessings permits. "
